I've seen software technology domain as well as hard-core manufacturing domain and one thing I'm sure of is Project management is not just about procedures or documents, it is about creating unique environment for delivering unique projects and requires a lot of human intelligence, which Gen AI won't be able to replicate. Therefore, PM skills can't be commoditized.
Project Managers can leverage Gen AI for expanding productivity horizons, delivering more in less time and cost. AI has great potential to make us more effective in our PM roles. I think it will depend on whether we stay with the safe, proven methods or whether we go farther and try to work on the leading edge. Each has merit, but for day-in, day-out work it's the safe and proven path. Saving Changes...
