Microsoft Project for the Web

Good morning. We recently purchased Project for the Web in hopes of being able to report on all projects in one area rather than each PM having to update an excel spreadsheet with their status. This is our first time not using a desktop version and I am not sure how to properly use this. Any thoughts? I want to be able to act as the Program Manager and do a better job of reporting.
