How to decide between PMP and PRINCE2 Certification?

Everyone asks me this question. How to decide between PMP and PRINCE2 Certification?

Yousif, I have both credentials and they are both valuable, however, I would recommend to do the PMP as it is more globally recognized and it is more broad. PRINCE2 focuses on project management in controlled environments and it is mostly highly recognized in Europe including the UK, and some parts of the Middle East but not as much as the PMP. If you have the band width, I would say do both. Hope this helps!

I hold both PMP and PRINCE2 certifications. Personally, I believe PMP holds more value, not only in terms of certification recognition but also in the depth of project management knowledge it offers. I consider PMP to be the gold standard, and it's highly likely that with PMP alone, you can gain recognition anywhere in the world.
