Validating and checking outputs is critical when working with AI systems like Generative AI. Such validation approaches may include establishing clear criteria, implementing strong testing protocols, and continuous refinement.

In your experience with AI, what are some best practices for ensuring the results you receive are accurate, relevant, and aligned with your original goals?

When using AI systems, keeping a few best practices in mind can help ensure you get the most accurate and relevant results:

Clear and Specific Queries: The more precise your question or prompt, the better the AI can understand and respond. Avoid ambiguous or overly broad requests.

Context Matters: Provide enough context or background information. This helps the AI tailor its responses more accurately to your needs.

Verify Information: Cross-check the AI's responses with reliable sources, especially if the information is critical. AI can sometimes produce confident-sounding but incorrect answers.

Iterate and Refine: If the first response isn't quite right, rephrase your question or ask follow-up questions. Iteration often leads to better results.

Feedback Loop: Provide feedback on the AI's responses. Many AI systems learn and improve over time with user feedback.

Use Trusted Platforms: Utilize AI from reputable sources that prioritize accuracy and ethical guidelines.

For example, when searching for information on AI practices, ensuring your question is clear and well-structured will help provide more accurate and useful results.

Effective responses, continuous review and improvement are essential in this situation.

AI will evolve if you continue to feed it information so I would say that the best practice would be to not be biased with the source but also to keep the AI up to date with current tasks. When you remind the AI system of the original goals, it will be easier for it to lay out the land and give an informed reply.

Well, age old IT adage GIGO (Garbage in Garbage out) couldn't be more true than in sending a prompt to GenAI engine.
So, specificity, context, example, basically CREATE formula is an excellent tool to refine and send appropriate prompt to AI. Likelihood of getting a response that would fit your needs would be higher l.

I like to think of PDCA cycle: plan - define what the outcome we are expecting; do - design promts that atrgeting the expected outcome; check - check the response from LLM whether the response meet the expectation and/or what are the gaps; act - modified promots to get closer to the expectation.

In my thus far limited experience, I have found that the quality of the prompt lays the foundation. The correct prompt pattern is crucial as well.
1. Be specific and provision of relevant examples for consideration
2. Solicitation of Feedback from pertinent stakeholders can help with the prompt request parameters.
3. Be sure the LLM is properly updated with latest relevant information.

It's very important to know what type of support, information or output you need before prompting. Based on your needs, you can use the different formulas and patterns to get the expected answer. Practice refinement until you get what you need with the level of precision and accuracy required

Providing the specific context in clear and consise way is essential.

Ensuring the results from an AI system are accurate, relevant, and aligned with specific goals requires a systematic approach. Here are some best practices for validating outputs and maintaining alignment:

1. Establish Clear Criteria for Success

• Define Objectives: Clearly articulate the goals of the AI system and its intended purpose.

• Set Metrics: Use measurable benchmarks such as accuracy, relevance, precision, recall, or user satisfaction to evaluate performance.

• Contextual Relevance: Ensure outputs are aligned with the domain-specific requirements or the user’s intent.
