Validating and checking outputs is critical when working with AI systems like Generative AI. Such validation approaches may include establishing clear criteria, implementing strong testing protocols, and continuous refinement.

In your experience with AI, what are some best practices for ensuring the results you receive are accurate, relevant, and aligned with your original goals?

Have a detailed well structured CREATE prompt that includes examples and ask to cite information when possible to ensure it is accurate and also timely

Verify with AI the references used, and ensure the references are current, and relevant to issue by asking for citations. Also, make sure to constantly clarify the issues and be specific as to the format of the reply.

Having a team to look at the results to ensure they align with our objectives, Setting up a system that can flag any inconsistency and having a feedback system.

Best practice for relevant responses would be to use the CREATE formula with well defined prompts giving relevant input to the prompt. Reviewing the output then refining the prompt as needed to provide more specific input. Iterative response refinement benefits future prompting.

Ensure prompts are clear, concise, and have some idea of your expected outcome. Ask for source validation. And as with anything, trust but verify.

To ensure AI results are accurate, relevant, and aligned with your goals:

Define the role and context clearly in your prompt.

Be specific about the format, depth, and expected output.

Break down complex tasks into smaller steps.

Iterate and refine based on responses.

Provide examples and constraints to guide the AI effectively.

Perhaps simplistic, but an approach is to test AI against a known input(s) and output(s) to see how AI would "predict" an outcome that actually occurred and recommendations to avoid the outcome.

Be precise and clear.
Be sure you explain jargon or specialized terminology
Provide the context for all of your requests
Be sure you provide the outcomes you are expecting
Experiment and refine as you go

I would practice using the AI with iterative statements.
