Validating and checking outputs is critical when working with AI systems like Generative AI. Such validation approaches may include establishing clear criteria, implementing strong testing protocols, and continuous refinement.

In your experience with AI, what are some best practices for ensuring the results you receive are accurate, relevant, and aligned with your original goals?

-Before using AI, clearly outline what you’re trying to achieve, in prompt: include context, desired format, and goals.

-Provide adequate background or constraints like audience, location, date range etc.

-Cross-check critical facts from AI outputs with reliable sources. never rely on AI alone.

-Don’t settle for the first answer. Use clarifying, expanding, or refining questions to dig deeper or reframe.

-Refine your prompts based on the output quality. feedback like: “More concise,” “Use bullet points,” or “Focus only on technical details.”

-AI may hallucinate or provide outdated info. Ensure data must be current or cited from real sources.
-Use Domain-Specific Tools or Models- use AI tools tailored to your industry

-Keep a record of queries and responses for audit or future reference. as you would review human-generated content.

-Use AI as a co-pilot, not an autopilot. Final decisions should be made by human experts.

-Don’t share sensitive data. Ensure your use of AI complies with privacy laws, academic integrity, or workplace guidelines.

By applying applying precise and accurate input to the AI. You can use RTF or CREAT formula depending on the complexity of your data

Check if the outcome aligns with the intended output logically and compare it with earlier manually driven and verified outputs.

While using a formula to align responses is beneficial, achieving accuracy requires refining prompts to eliminate ambiguity, assumptions, inconsistencies, and non-compliance with dependent regulations. A higher degree of accuracy can be achieved using relevant prompting patterns and iterative prompt refinement to ensure more precise, relevant, and actionable outputs.

I don't disagree with the answers above, but I keep it very simple. Make sure your data is clean, ask specific questions, and review the outcome. All of this will depend on the AI tools you are using and your needs for using them. Once you have this figured out, you will be good to go.
Continuing review and improvement are essential in this case.
I hope that helps.
Regards,
Agree, input provided is very important as well as continue iterations to refine and get an output that satified your need.

Be Clear and Specific
Define your goals clearly and give context to guide the AI.

Write Good Prompts
Use detailed, structured prompts—include examples if possible.

Verify Responses
Fact-check against reliable sources or repeat the query for consistency.

Use Human Judgment
Review critically—AI suggestions may need edits or clarification.

Iterate as Needed
Refine or rephrase prompts to get closer to your desired output.

Protect Data
Avoid sharing sensitive info unless the AI tool is secure and permitted.

Use the Right Tool
Choose domain-specific models or tools for better accuracy.

Keep Records
Save queries/results to track quality and improve over time.

I would suggest to not only be able to use the tool, but have experts who know how to use the tool. How far can you go in being creative? Be ready to back up your AI suggestions by being confident in the proposal with proper education, research, and feedback from trusted colleagues.

"Nearly every great advance in science arises from a crisis in the old theory, through an endeavor to find a way out of the difficulties created. We must examine old ideas, old theories, although they belong to the past, for this is the only way to understand the importance of the new ones and the extent of their validity."
