Currently, AI has grown to chat gpt4 which has seen the goal of successfully becoming super intelligent more near than distant. This may likely make some people build interest within it with next to know regulations or the need for companies to show noticeable expenditure on building safety plugs into it which may make it independent of man. Thus, how safe is the use of AI in project management?

First of all, I fully disagree about things like AI are intelligent. If you are using it as a metaphore then I can accept it. The only thing that changed from 40 years ago is: with the new model of generative AI that helped to create chatgpt and others all related to what is called Responsible AI takes place It demands things like almost creating a new business unit where lawyers, linguistic, inclusion and diversity specialist must work to take a close look to end to end implementations of this new model of generative AI. My recomendation is taking a closer look to both courses delivery for free by the PMI. While I am not fan of PMI courses these two ones are really good in my personal opinion.

Hello Sergio, thanks for your feedback. However, I’ll say regarding your take on a AI not being intelligent depends on what one defines as, ‘intelligence.’ Intelligence for me would be having or showing the ability to easily learn or understand things or to deal with new or difficult situations. This is currently being done by AI. There’s also the emotional side (which brings instant gratification) which currently machines haven’t mastered.

On another leg, our mood or interests influences our processing of information in order to arrive at a decision. AI have successfully leaped over this thought process to make decisions quicker with data to back it.

Thank you for your time Frank. First of all, AI is a broad term. We are using AI from more than 40 years ago most of the times without being aware on that. Second, most of the time people forget or do not know that AI entities create results with a probability of error associated to it. Because of that, "human in the loop" concept still remains. Just to comment, from 1989 I am researching on how to simulate human consciousness with AI and in the last time I incorporated the use of quantum computing to that. So, too much to talk about but the key thing, as you mentioned, is starting for what does mean learn, understand, decide, consciousness, etc etc.
