With Generative AI, iteratively refining and optimizing prompts can lead to better AI-generated results. This may involve adjusting the specificity or clarity of the prompt to increase relevance and accuracy of results.

What examples do you have of how improving a prompt drastically changed the output quality?  What specific changes did you make that led to the improvement?

By being clear, precise and contextual; by defining a role, a task and an expected format and by structuring my request.
“Refining prompts has significantly improved the quality of the outputs I receive from generative AI. This not only enhances the accuracy and relevance of the results but also gives me greater confidence in applying them. As a result, my work stands out among my colleagues, and I’m able to deliver more insightful and effective outcomes.”

I think that it makes the outcome personalized.

In my understanding, chaining prompts or refining a prompt gives the model further input towards what we are looking into. Whether we follow RTF or CREATE model, refining a prompt always produces better results. At every step, the model learns and produces a better response based on the feedback it receives. Also, this iterative process helps to refine the prompt by seeing the model's response.

In my experience refining AI, I have found that the more efficient and affective I am at refining it, the more its learning and the less I have to refine it in later requests. Refining more early on makes my job easier in the long run so with any new project I work on using generative AI, I make sure to pay close attention to the AI's wants and needs from the very start. It saves me much more time and energy in spite of it taking a little more time at the start.

Being more specific and transparent allows for a more dynamic interactions from AI. I have learned from the Chain of Thought and Chain of Feedback how to delve down into a more specific ask from AI and also how to validate the AI responses such as: requesting source for the information. I have learned to write the AI request more percise by adding my position as a role (Program Manager/Project Manager) to get a more tailored response and avoid AI hallucinations.

Refining a prompt with GenAI has increase the output quality tremendously. Especially at moments that I am seeking for a more qualitative result.
Refining prompts has been a game-changer in my experience with GenAI, especially when shifting from vague, broad requests to structured, detailed ones like the CREATE framework (Context, Request, Examples, Adjustments, Type of Output, Extras).

I've not had a lot of experience refining prompts, but I look forward to implementing this skill for better results.

Use of AI needs to be kept at a detailed level and be specific as to the question ask of AI - be detailed and break each question down so AI can understand and address the question in detail.
