With Generative AI, iteratively refining and optimizing prompts can lead to better AI-generated results. This may involve adjusting the specificity or clarity of the prompt to increase relevance and accuracy of results.

What examples do you have of how improving a prompt drastically changed the output quality?  What specific changes did you make that led to the improvement?

Being concise and specific helps the AI to give some valuable answers. It also learns with time as you ask further questions.
I'm in agreement with you further. We can give some examples also so that more specific prompt can come out

In my short experience and until this moment with the GenAI, what I can understand is if we refine a prompt drastically improves the output quality by making the AIs responses more accurate, objective and detailed. A well done prompt provides specific instructions, clear contex and examples, which guide the AI to generate focused and meaningful answers instead of vague or off topic content.

Using more specific prompts and adding context such as industry, methodology, and a direct request for examples to confirm correct context.

Its important to provide the context and consulting the SMEs of the area. Multiple iterations needs to be tested. It should be review periodically to check the relevance over the time.

I can tell you that after doing this training,  created a prompt like never before and managed to automate a manual job that I used to do for over a year.
so it's a plus.

By not overwhelming the LLM, and breaking down tasks/prompts/requests, it makes outputs easier, more digestible and better in quality.
