Volunteering is a noble task in which we selflessly put our skills and knowledge at the service of others.  ¿What is the most significant, funny, or relevant anecdote you have had while volunteering as Project Managers?

Veronica,
I love this question, I'm a passionate and with Yasmina Khelifi, we did a webinar in this platform about volunteering.
I really can't wait to see other people commenting on this question!

I have been volunteering for 11 years in different PMi chapters and every day it is more difficult to get people involved, it is like they expect you to give them everything without them having to make an effort. It's like it's free and then the efforts of the volunteers are not reciprocated by the members. I have been on the Chapters board twice. I hope this trend changes so that we can have more members more committed to their professional development

Fabian,
This is a very valid point, as a PMI Northern Utah Chapter board member, I fully agree with you.

However I have the feeling that the people prefer to volunteer in on-line or virtual engagements more than having to go a place and do something. Did you observed the same (at least in younger generations)?

Dear All
Unlocking hidden skills through volunteering as a Project Manager with PMI Infinity have been incredibly rewarding.
This experience highlighted that volunteering isn't just about giving back; it's about uncovering and utilizing hidden skills, fostering community, and building stronger connections.
