I am interested in possibly attaining certifcation to teach PMI courses and I don't know where to start. Has anyone done this before? Any and all suggestions are helpful. Thank you

I have done facilitation and teaching work before for DEIB (diversity, equity, inclusion, belonging) and have worked with personality assessments. However, I would love to get more involved with PM work by being a licensed instructor. Any information is helpful.

Jocelyn, you can apply to become an Authorized Training Partner (ATP) with PMI. Here is there link: https://www.pmi.org/business-solutions/bec...raining-partner

Hope this helps!

Thanks, Rami. I'll definitely take a look at it. I notice where I live there is not a lot of access to these types of programs and I'd love to be able to provide them at some of our community centers.

Jocelyn -

As opposed to becoming an ATP yourself, it might be better to find an ATP within your local area and see if they are willing to hire you. That way, you won't incur the significant up front costs associated with joining the program and the company you join would give you the access required to take PMI's "train-the-trainer" on demand virtual course.

You'd also need to decide which certification courses you'd want to deliver. While most just require you to hold the credential, some do have additional prerequisites.

You need to apply for ATP.
