Is my Prince2 certification valid as "35 contact hours of formal project management education"

Hi,

I am a Senior Project Manager with a Prince2 Practitioner Certification. I am interested in the PMP certification and I and going through the guides to understand if I can already apply for the exam.

I have a "Four-year degree" + "36 months unique non-overlapping professional project management experience ".

According to the guides I also need:

"In addition to the above project management experience, applications must also have at least 35 contact hours of formal project management education unless they are an active CAPM holder."

I dont have a CAPM but I do have a valid Prince2 Practitioner certification. Is that sufficient?
Looking forward to your responses. Thanks

Marta, I am not sure if PMI will accept your PRINCE 2 credential as an alternative to the 35 Educational Hours. You can connect with customer service and ask them.

Alternatively, there are lots of courses on Udemy for affordable prices. Check out the courses for Joseph Phillips.

Good Luck!

As Rami has mentioned, the PRINCE 2 credential itself wouldn't be equivalent to the 35 hours but assuming you took some courses in advance of taking the PRINCE 2 certification exam, those courses would be eligible so long as you have proof of completion, and course details such as the curriculum in the event that your application gets audite
