In reality, project management work is very diverse in scope and level of challenge.
Need an in-depth analysis report to see if project management needs a complete system with AI or just using chatpgt is enough?

I can answer this question but in my personal opinion is better to go to PMI´s free courses, mainly the first two, which are on generative AI and you will find valuable information on the matter.

Really depends on a project's context and the benefits which various AI-based solutions could provide. For example, a focused AI-based risk management tool for a given industry might be very helpful in providing decision support to the team.

AI applications in project management are wide-ranging, so it's use will really depend on the project's requirements. One example is the use of low code AI tools to automate workflows and analyze data.

AI and PM are disjunct and evolving areas, but AI is faster now. So to link those two at any given time and draw conclusions is obsolete soon after. Today, ChatGPT is use by many, also PMs, and hence you will find lots of cases where ChatGPT supports PM, for other AI tools there are less.

As more PM-specific AI tools emerge and AI becomes more versatile, the dynamics of the PM/AI combination are set to shift. This evolution underscores the need for continuous research and understanding of this intersection.

It may be more satisfying to examine how AI for PM will change over time than to freeze the status quo and analyze it.

It depends. Many projects can be managed very successfully without any AI at all other than spell checking in my own case.

If using AI, it is a matter of what questions are you trying to answer more efficiently or things you are trying to automate. If using an LLM like ChatGPT, you are primarily focused on past trend data and organizing patterns. If you are trying to optimize something using mathematical machine learning approaches, other tools would be more appropriate. .

Currently I manage the predictive project portfolio, I realize that AI (chatGPT) is suitable for the initiating and planning phase, then I put the data into the ERP system and Dashboard for monitoring, supervision and reporting, this phase is Executing and Monitoring & Controlling.
And I find that it is quite effective. In short, I use
- AI in two processes Initiating & Planning
- ERP System in two processes Executing & MC.

I also prepare to apply AI to Agile and Lean Project, will observe, measure and inform us
