I think the construction industry has a huge potential to benefit from AI, as it is stalled in old habits and, on the other hand, developed BIM, which provides a digital twin of the project product. I saw several initiatives to include AI capabiities into BIM.

Other industries have developed other means to improve, but they are not looking at an all-encompassing twin, which might even hinder them from reaping the benefits of AI. Think automotive, engineering, geospatial, and oil exploration.

Thank you for your thoughts and information, As you have rightly said, there are lot of overlooked areas in construction industry in project management. Few are the following to mention
1. Data collection, structuring and pre-screening and developing the scenarios based this.
2. Automation in monitoring the progress, Quality, cost and Safety.
3. refined assessment of Climate on the project activities and agile approach in making strategies to mitigate or minimize the impact on the time lines.
My views are based on the experiences in Indian construction industry which may be different in other parts of the world.
So, I See these are the areas has lot of scope for Digital transformation

As far as I understood the question has a board spectrum. If you are talking about the project manager role then generative Ai will help a lot in several points of the project. I can write a lot here but PMI´s related courses contains very useful information. If you are talking about using generative AI in other parts of the construction process I do not have information about it and it sound interesting. The use of AI in construction (AI in general, not generative AI in specific) is highly expanded from long time ago.

I wrote a small blog a while ago and included a link for an interesting article about the use of AI in the Construction Industry:

SRP Kiran, thanks.
In my limited design and construction engineering experiences,
tech-matters are most naturally desirable to engineers.
Yet the evidence shows that at least 60% of their projects fail to meet contract requirements.
Not to due initially to tech but due to their lack of knowledge "How to play nice with others."

Until that changes, I suggest that with AI projects will fail faster.
Cheers,
Bill
