I'm answering my own question. I just discovered the Study Hall app and this is the ticket to success. I can feel it.
Suggestion for the PMI team, have you considered sending a note to people who have recently failed the PMP with resources like the study hall app? The only reason I discovered it was Davide's question about logging in. ...

Hi Maria, did you take your exam again? I’m scheduled to write mine in about 3 weeks and was wondering if you found the Study Hall mock exams or Andrew Ramdayal’s mock exams to be closer to the real thing. Any advice or suggestions you have would be greatly appreciated!

Maria -
Have you reviewed the detailed exam analysis report as that usually helps candidates focus their efforts on the specific ECO tasks which they need to improve in. Once you know those, you can use the appropriate references (e.g. PMI's Process Groups: A Practice Guide) to review and also take advantage of a good quality exam simulator which lets you tailor the exam to specific topics. Hi Kiron, thanks for your response. I have read the report and exam content outline. My challenge, which being able to understand the concepts within a context. The Study Hall app will be a great resource for this, plus it's fun. I am really enjoying the rocess of answering the questions - the same type of questions found ont he exam, and then getting the result right away with a details explanation.

Maria, sorry to hear you failed the first attempt but don't feel discouraged. In general, for the PMP, here is what I suggest candidates do:
1) Read through the Exam Content Outline (ECO), PMBOK 6th Edition (Including the Agile Extension as lots of questions are Agile / Hybrid based) and then read the PMBOK 7th edition (it is a small book). Alternatively, you can read through the ECO, PMBOK 7th edition and then go through the new Process Groups Practice Guide. 2) Go through Rita Mulchay’s Exam Prep book, I think its 11th edition now, but double check. This is one of the best resources for exam preparation. 3) After you are done, purchase the Simulator Package through PM Prep Cast and practice as much as you can. This is a great simulator and resource for questions that mimic the real exam and will boost your confidence the more you practice. 4) If you want a course to fulfill your 35 Hours then check Joseph Phillips on Udemy. He is a PMI ATP and great instructor or check out PMI's self-paced course in the PMI Store. Since you recently took the exam, it would be beneficial for you to use a robust resource for simulation exams to maximize your practice. PM PrepCast is an excellent choice for practice exams and is quite affordable. Their simulator allows you to take tests by domain or a full PMP exam. Importantly, each answer comes with detailed explanations on why it is correct or incorrect, which is where you can gain the most insight. Hope this helps - Good Luck! ...

Hi Rami, thanks for your thorough response and encouragement. I think my best strategy is the study hall app as it allows me to answer context-based questions and get the results and explanation immedately. Reading another brick-sized book feels less motivating to me. Hopefully, I'll have some good PMP news in a few weeks.

Maria, you're welcome. I will leave that up to you but from what I hear from candidates who used both, they did find PM PrepCast simulator to be better than Study Hall but I can't say it's based on my personal experience as I only used PM PrepCast and did find it outstanding but never used Study Hall myself. Hope to hear the good news soon - Good Luck!
