Ai is a board term. We are using AI, sometimes without notice that, from more than 40 years ago. If you post is related to generative AI you will find the answer in the PMI´s free courses on the matter. I firmly believe that some roles like business analyst, project/program/portfolio managers "are dead" at least in the way they were defined in the beginning. Agreed AI is already there and we are using it one or other way but GenAI has given new opportunities to the PM role, It will make it more productive by leveraging GenAI as their virtual assistant to their daily or repetitive task and spend more time in productive task. Currently there is might be not much awareness is there among people so such hoax are spreading but Project management is not just a role but its an Art and you can change tools and technology to improve your Art but no one can take that away from you :) Saving Changes...
AI is going to be enabler to PM responsibilities, for eg in the project planning, preparing a project plan will made easy if you provide required inputs to AI model and it can generate the plan for you. Like wise some of the manual administration work in updating the project documents during the project execution also will be simple. Project report preparation, analysis and presentation to stakeholders will be made easy. There were talks that PM role is not needed after Agile transformation. But I can see many organisations that run in Agile are looking for Project Managers. So I think AI can only support and not replace PMs. Saving Changes...
