Why do we need to consider programme/project definition in any?

It is difficult to exert full potential and passion on our programmes/projects without 'definition'.

However, every project has its specification within its scope

Every project has its deliverable mechanisms and strategies

Every project has its deliverable time

Every project has its deliverable cost

Every project has its deliverable personnel or workforce

Every project has its deliverable workplace

Every project has its deliverable aims and objectives

Every project has its deliverable scope and areas

Every project has its deliverable lead

Every project has its deliverable goals and outcome etc

However, we can only deliver our programme/project when we know the scope, time and cost. This is why deliverable projects are easily executed by the project manager and team.
To strongly achieve this, passion is a drive for every project's execution. In other words, an undefined project can lead to frustration or dissipation of energy despite the passion and zeal towards the project delivering.

This is to say that passion can only foster the execution of a difficult project when it is well defined. To make it easier for the programme/project manager/team, it most be defined to minimize waste of time, resources and energy for its execution.

Thank you.

Esosa.

Esosa,
I agree that knowing much about a project upfront like scope, cost, and time increases the probability of reaching its targets.
On the other hand, dealing with the flow of life and unexpected events needs a mindset and resilience on behalf of the project manager (which then also helps in real life).

A PM needs both capabilities: planning ahead and dealing with reality.
