As we all know, returning to work after a holiday can be a bit overwhelming. Some of us dive straight into our overflowing email inboxes, while others might prioritize calling a particular stakeholder to catch up on important updates. I'm curious to hear about your approach. What is the very first thing you do when you get back to work after a holiday? Do you have a specific routine or a go-to task that helps you ease back into work mode? I look forward to reading your inputs on this matter!

Eduard, I always give myself a day to catch up on all emails and ongoing activities before I jump into making phone calls. This way I am up to date and the phone calls will be more efficient.

Before I leave for vacation, I review my notes and action items and make a short list of the most important things I need to check first when I get back. The first thing I do when I get back is look at my list. Then I pull up my calendar to see both what appointments I have that day, and when to spend time on my own actions.

As a project manager, I observe progress before and after a vacation. Afterward, I enjoy a cup of coffee or tea while mind mapping.

Eduardo, The first thing I do when I return from vacation is review the agenda for the day, and then I go over the related notes. I keep up with emails and updates as the day progresses.
