No, AI as a tool does not reduce your skills or underestimate you. In fact, it can enhance them. Here's why:
Augments abilities: AI can help you perform tasks more efficiently and effectively, freeing up time for more complex or creative work.
Provides new perspectives: AI can offer unique insights and solutions that you might not have considered.
Encourages learning: Using AI can motivate you to learn new skills and expand your knowledge.
It's important to remember that AI is a tool, and like any tool, it's up to you to use it wisely. By understanding its capabilities and limitations, you can leverage it to your advantage and avoid becoming overly reliant on it.

To me AI is something that takes inputs from us, can reflect our personality and help us communicate our thoughts/ideas in a better and faster manner. Only concern is that AI amplifies negative ideas too which should also be leveraged in a positive sense to fight against threats.

So true, Ayman, AI today is a tool and should help us become more efficient and effective.
Some skills might vanish over time, though for the majority, like typewriting, basic calculation skills, or making fire in the woods.

I recently read a post about students who used ChatGPT to introduce themselves to their classmates. The introductions, understandably, lacked authenticity.
In summary, while AI tools can be very helpful in producing superior outcomes, they should not be used in every situation.

However, artificial intelligence cannot compensate for natural stupidity or put another way, a fool with a tool is a more dangerous fool.

Yes, of course, Al will help reduce the tasks and give a more efficient output too, but from a long-term perspective, it will reduce our skills too because everything is available with the click of an AI tool. So be careful not to get underestimated due to new technologies. Saving Changes...
