Is the PMO-CP Course Offered by PMI Enough for Certification?

Hi everyone!

I'm considering taking the PMO-CP course offered by PMI and was wondering if it’s enough on its own to to get the certification. Have any of you taken this course? Did you feel it fully prepared you, or did you use additional tools or courses to supplement your learning?

Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated!

Mayte, I took the course back in 2019 and was one of the first to earn this credential. From what I remember, the course was more than enough for passing the exam as long as you deeply understand all concepts and how the Value Ring Methodology works. Given that the exam structure didn't yet change (the change to the exam expected early 2025), and it is still based on the course (not the guide) then I would assume the course is enough to pass the exam but can't be 100% sure!

Fabian, I don't know the exact date. All I know is that sometime in 2025, the old 40 question exam will be sunset and all new candidates will take the 100 questions exam which will be based off the ECO and Guide. Whether this will hold or not, I have no idea!
