Educating college students taking PM courses, on how AI tools can be used in project management ensures they have advanced knowledge to navigate complex projects effectively, arms them with cutting-edge skills and better prepares them for future job markets.
Integrating AI into project management education more specifically teaches them to:
--automate tasks like scheduling, tracking progress, and generating reports reduces the administrative burden on project managers,
--process vast amounts of data to uncover patterns and insights that would be challenging and time-consuming for humans to identify
--provide real-time updates and streamline communication among project team members, fostering a collaborative environment.
--improve efficiency but also foster a more collaborative environment
--leverage predictive analytics to identify potential risks and develop proactive strategies

Can you suggest any other benefits?

Absolutely, from my point of view, there are several additional benefits:

>>> Enhanced Decision-Making: AI tools can provide data-driven recommendations, helping project managers make more informed decisions.
>>> Resource Optimization: AI can analyze resource utilization and suggest optimal allocation, ensuring that resources are used efficiently.
>>> Cost Management: AI can predict budget overruns and suggest cost-saving measures, helping to keep projects within budget.
>>> Personalized Learning: AI can tailor learning experiences to individual students’ needs, helping them grasp complex project management concepts more effectively.
>>> Scalability: AI tools can easily scale to manage multiple projects simultaneously, making it easier to handle large portfolios.

These benefits not only enhance the learning experience but also prepare students to leverage AI for more effective project management in their future careers.

In my opinion you will find your answers if you take a look to PMI´s free courses on generative AI.
Just to comment, AI is a board term.
And good to read that your post is not related to generative AI only.
