ProjectLibre: An open-source project management tool that offers features similar to MS Project, including Gantt charts and resource management.
OpenProject: Another open-source option that supports traditional, agile, and hybrid project management methodologies.
GanttProject: A free tool that focuses on Gantt chart creation and project scheduling.
Trello: A user-friendly, web-based project management tool that uses boards, lists, and cards to organize tasks.

Thanks a lot, I have to try. The main requirements are: free, easy to use (without complicated settings), and suitable for waterfall, agile, and hybrid project management. What could you suggest from this list?
P.S. I see the open-source

Hey Viktor!

Have you tried Notion? Depends on what your needs are but its flexibility can allow you to fit it to what you are looking for, even if it might be limited in some of the more advanced project modes.

If you’re looking for free alternatives to MS Project, there are some solid options available. Tools like GanttProject, OpenProject (community edition), and ProjectLibre offer project planning features similar to MS Project at no cost. When comparing Paid and Free Project Management Tools, free software works well for basic scheduling and task tracking, while paid tools usually offer better collaboration, reporting, and integrations. It really depends on how complex your projects are and how many people need access.
