2024 has been a productive year for me, and I'm grateful for the opportunities I've had. I was honored to be selected as an Online Community Champion with PMI (Thank you Laura Schofield!) which has allowed me to connect with the project management community in a more meaningful way.
I've also earned the necessary PDUs to renew my PMP certification, and I plan to complete the renewal process in the coming days. This year has taught me the importance of continuous learning and knowledge sharing. I have a burning desire to be the best in all I do, and I'm eager to contribute to the PMI community in meaningful ways.
I'm looking forward to opportunities to share my skills and knowledge and make a positive impact. For the remainder of 2024, I intend to focus on developing my skills and contributing more significantly to the PMI community.
As I look ahead to 2025 exploring new opportunities for growth in both my professional and personal life.
2024 has been a very different year compared with previous ones for me!
The accomplishments which I most cherish this year were both personal projects - acquiring & furnishing a brand new weekend getaway condo for ourselves and planning & executing the move of my Mom from her house of 27 years in Toronto to a brand new condo close to our house. Both projects required a healthy dose of risk management as well as lot of resilience!
On the professional front, I am in the closeout phase of my PM-focused career, so if anything, I am starting to assess which credentials I wish to retire, which I will continue to renew, and which I will drop. I'm also looking forward to fully retiring at year end such that I can focus more of my free time on in-person volunteering within my community and on virtually mentoring practitioners in the PM domain.

As we approach the end of 2024, I’ve had a rewarding year filled with both challenges and achievements. One of my significant accomplishments has been successfully managing multiple projects that focus on enhancing operational efficiency while prioritizing health, safety, and environmental standards. I also achieved my PMP (Project Management Professional) certification, which has greatly bolstered my confidence in leading complex initiatives.
This year has taught me the importance of adaptability and collaboration, especially as I navigated various project dynamics and team interactions. I’ve learned to embrace Agile methodologies more fully, which has been instrumental in keeping projects on track and responsive to change.
Looking ahead to the remaining days of 2024, I plan to focus on completing ongoing projects with an emphasis on sustainability and decarbonization strategies. I am also preparing for exciting opportunities in 2025, including potential leadership roles in upcoming environmental initiatives that align with my passion for addressing climate change.
I’m looking forward to hearing everyone’s stories and insights! Together, we can inspire one another as we finish the year strong and set our sights on the new challenges and opportunities that 2025 will bring.
