What is the best/worst thing that ever happened to you during a project?

The worst thing that ever happened to me is I had submitted a long brief to our creative department for deliverables. Right before the project started, we hired a brand new creative director who changed the entire brief submission process. Somehow, I was never told. So they never reviewed or prioritized my project and 2 weeks before the deliverables were due I found out.

How about you? What is the worst (or the best!) thing that's ever happened to you during a project?

We did a major infrastructure project, in conventional delivery model, for a global banking giant with extensive service portfolio in multiple geographies. Result 1 service upgrade in 1 yr.
Then, we re-aligned ourselves and with small amount of innovation, re-thinking, unlearning and re-learning, applied Fusion approach. Result 7 services upgraded in just 4 months; CSI - 100% :-)

And the worst thing - An initiative started; huge preparations done; GBP 20K spent and then came the day of kick off. Few stakeholders bluntly advised that same initiative had been done few months back and the outputs have not been operationalized yet. So, shut on the day of kickoff
