I can't believe how fast time has flown by! I've had my PMP for 20 years, and it is well used.

If you have your PMP, how long have you had it? How has it helped you in your career?

Are you one of the originals who had it for 40 years? Do tell!

Mike, I got mine in 2015 and just mostly like you, from structural engineer to accidental project manager then to professional project manager, and from accidental PMO manager to professional PMO manager.

I did find this thread to be very similar to the previous one so my answer stayed the same :-)

24 years, Mike, and it definitely helped in the early days of my career, but less so after I had gained more experience and broadened my network. As opposed to a differentiator which it used to be, it became more of a "cost of doing business".
