I was asked to present during a webinar today, and it felt great. It was about PMOs and PMI volunteering.

Do you share your experiences? If so, how and when? If not, why not?

Mike, I often share my experiences with various groups, both on request and voluntarily. It gives me a sense of pride, and I believe it can genuinely assist others in their journeys.

It really is a good feeling when you know you have been a help to others, isn't it, Rami?

I find it especially gratifying when you meet someone years later and they tell you how you helped them progress in their career, when you really had no idea at the time.

Little things sometimes make big differences.

Mike -

Every PM course I teach includes my sharing personal stories (good & bad) from projects I've led or PMs I've coached and supported. Without those, the courses would be lacking sufficient color commentary to be impactful.

I'm all about sharing my practices with my colleagues and friends, including the tools, templates, stakeholder preferences, experiences, and lessons learned, or just plain good ideas. We get into some deep discussions about how to apply them in different work scenarios and what kind of challenges might pop up. It's a great way to learn and grow together.

But I get it, not everyone is into sharing or being on the receiving end of it. Everyone has their own comfort zones, and that's totally fine by me.
