Does serving as a Co-director of a professional mentorship program with the Association of Latino Professionals for America count as PM experience to take the PMP Certification exam?

Experience as a project manager is what counts as experience toward taking the PMP exam. You must have 3 years of experience if you have a degree, and 5 years otherwise.

The type of experience you mention could be applicable if you were managing project(s) related to setting up the mentorship program.

You also ned 35 "contact hours: which is essentially project management training.

Thank you - I am actually asking on behalf of someone in a course that I facilitate. This was my initial interpretation.

Thank you - I agree. I think the work, to count, must demonstration more direct PM experience.

Erik, I am not sure your co-director experience that you've mentioned does qualify unless you were managing individual projects and doing day to day project management activities!
