If I find something on LinkedIn, I go to the company website to make sure the position is still open, but this can be misleading sometimes. I've come across a couple positions where the company wasn't posting jobs on their own site, but were using LinkedIn. I've seen a lot on LinkedIn that were out of date, but it's been a while since I was looking.

Large companies have their own external job boards which may also provide some insight as to the business culture. PMs who have worked at places like Microsoft and Amazon describe how the reason they always have a large number of PM job openings is that they hire a lot of people, burn them out, and expect very high attrition. That doesn't mean they should be avoided, but it is a factor to consider if you check regularly and notice that trend. Saving Changes...
