I am interested in Scrum and have read both SBOK from Scrum.org and ScrumStudy. While the shorter version provides good a higher level overview, the longer version provides a more detailed concept with more ITTOs to it. I also read reviews from Amazon. Is there a Scrum war going on? Which SBOK is more industry accepted? I seem to hear some Scrum Alliance CSM using ScrumStudy SBOK terminologies at work too. I am a bit confused.

Yes, there is an ongoing Scrum war and, in my cynical opinion, it is largely about getting training dollars. The Scrum describe by each of the parties is the same. Do not try to discern any "secrets" from any of them because basic Scrum will need to be adapted to your specific environment.

For a light weight (and free) Scrum reference, I would recommend - http://www.scrumguides.org/ - from the initial developers of Scrum.

Thank you, Wayne. That is true, it depends on the organization (or in my case, the policy office) that follows the technique.
