During our PMI congress X-change a best practice was identified involving increased levels of communication being required in order to quickly respond to emerging risks in an agile project environment. Are there any other techniques that support the effectiveness of risk handling in agile projects?

Interesting topic!! Presumably the self-managed element of Agile teams requires a much greater awareness of potential risks among the team - while the product owner and ScrumMaster (or similar) will be looking for potential threats and opportunities, the team has to be constantly considering risks as well, don't they?
