I am exploring how Artificial Intelligence can transform Construction Project Management. I'm particularly interested in practical applications such as scheduling, resource management, risk analysis, and real-time data integration.

Can you share examples, tools, or methodologies where AI has been successfully implemented? Additionally, what challenges should one expect when adopting AI in construction workflows?

I will write the following trying to give context to my answer. 1-<something> project management does not exist. What exists is project management applied inside a domain, for example construction. 2-AI is a board term. We are using AI and we are surrounded for AI entities for more than 40 years ago. With that said, all you stated is used in project/program/portfolio management from long time ago. For example, tools like MS Project has incorporated it including free of charge versions. The "new kid on the block" is generative AI (genAI) or to best said the new model. You can find good examples about how to apply it in PMI´s free courses delivered time ago.

Kaleem, you can use AI to deploy robotics on site to do repetitive jobs like Bric Laying, you can use it to obtain real-time data, do data analytics for better decision making and so on.

That said, in the start, you could face so many challenges like Initial High Costs, Adoption and Buy-In, Resistance to Change.

Artificial intelligence is transforming the way we manage projects by automating routine tasks, providing data-driven insights, and improving decision-making.
