I am looking on how to follow up on my request sent on 2nd October regarding permission to use "PgMP".

I understand the response timeframe was estimated to be between 1 and 4 weeks, but I have yet to receive any reply or confirmation of request by email - seven weeks now. I have sent follow on email on 13th of November to [email protected] but I have no response.

Could someone please  provide a guide on how to address or follow on the status of request sent to legal?

Many thanks.

Nikola -

Could you clarify the question - if you have earned the credential, then you are eligible to add it after your name similar to PMP or any of PMI's other credentials?

Kiron, I have asked the permission to use "PgMP" in the "PgMP Exam Preparation Quiz" in the app name. App is based on a book. The Book's Publisher allows the book content use but they cannot (PMI shall) allow the PgMP part in the App's title name. That is what Ive asked from a Legal and no reply since.

Thanks for the clarification, Nikola! I'd assume with normal proper referencing of the trademark or copyright it should be acceptable, but I applaud your desire to get an official stamp of approval from PMI!

Laura Schofield or Kimberly Whitby , given the lack of response which Nikola has received from PMI Legal, can either of you help him get this request answered?

Nikola, unless I misunderstand something, I am not sure why using the abbreviation PgMP would be an issue.

In all cases, you’re best bet is to contact PMI customer care directly and they will refer you to the right contact or department!

Rami,

As per the Terms and Conditions, no one is permitted to use "PMP" or "PgMP" in any product or service title (e.g. app name) without prior approval from PMI, as "PgMP" is their trademark. To clarify:

Third parties may not incorporate any PMI mark into their own product names or services (e.g. “PMP® Exam Prep 101”) without authorisation.

In order to use the mark, one must follow the permission process via the link below:

PMI Permissions Form

This is the process I followed.

Nikola, thanks for the clarification, now I understand better what your intent is. Kiron tagged Kimberly and Laura so hopefully they can help in one way or another.

Hi Nik - since you submitted this form to legal in October, there could be a delay as many requests come in frequently. The timeline for a response may be delayed due to the number of submissions in the queue and folks being on vacation this week. You can always follow up with customer care for an update. Thanks for your patience!
