PMI/PMP Certification - Is it worth the time?

The way I look at it is this way: A PMP certification is not a testament that you are a good let alone a great project manager. This is no different comparing to having a medical decree does not make one a good doctor. Nonetheless, every good doctor has a medical decree, same as accountant, lawyer, and other professionals. Every good project manager ought to have the PMP certification. Therefore, it is worth it.

Hi Joe, Project Management Certification will allow you to raise your salary. This certification is globally recognized. Mostly people get this certification for a better job and salary. Is your reason the same or do you have a different one?
