I am a Project Manager in Service Oriented Company. And we work on service based projects like, DEvOps, Migration etc. I am bit confused, what to measures as team KPI's or metrics.

Your team metrics should tie back or be aligned to the KPIs for your business but generic ones to consider are customer satisfaction, team morale and EVM metrics. The former two could be assessed using standard surveys.

As a Project Manager in a service-oriented company, aligning team KPIs with business success metrics is vital. Start by understanding the company's broader goals, such as customer satisfaction and revenue growth, and translate these into measurable outcomes like Net Promoter Scores (NPS) and customer retention rates. Identify how your team's service-based projects, such as DevOps and migration, contribute to these objectives. For instance, metrics like deployment frequency and downtime reduction can directly impact business success by enhancing customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.

Ajay, to add to Kiron's feedback, the right metrics will depend on your team's specific goals. You usually should be tracking a mix of project delivery, quality, productivity, collaboration, and client satisfaction metrics as this will give you a holistic view of your team's performance.
