What would you say has been the biggest mistake you've made on a project? Did you make a wrong assumption? Forget to include a major stakeholder?
Biggest mistake I ever made on a project was assuming that a new Creative Director was following the same processes that the previous Creative Director had been using - it just didn't occur to me that she would be making changes. My project didn't make the list, and I had a lot of explaining to do.
How about you? What was your biggest mistake? How did you handle it? Saving Changes...

We are a projects centric company engaged in BOOT (Build Own Operate Transfer) projects in waste management sector. One mistake, on one of our initial pilot projects, I personally regret is taking an additional work of grid connectivity ( originally out of our project scope). What had happened was in absence of regulatory clarity there was an ambiguity on scope of grid connectivity, whether it was responsibility of project developer or the buyer ( in this case state electricity distribution agency). In a bid to complete the project on time, without analysing risks involved w.r.t ROW issues & compensations involved in carrying out the work, we decided to take up the responsibility rather then depending on the govt. department. The decision delayed COD of already completed project by 6 months, our only solace was may be if the govt. had done it it would probably have delayed the project by 12 months. However, we were later able to claim reimbursement of additional expense from the Govt. department. Saving Changes...

I've made lots of mistakes from forgetting key stakeholders to miscalculating my budget in Excel and then spending money that we didn't have...
The good news is that I have learned from all of them! Saving Changes...
