Well, this is interesting.

First came the Agile Practice Guide, created in collaboration with the Agile Alliance and attached to the PMBOK® Guide – Sixth Edition, then the acquisition of Disciplined Agile, heralding Ways of Working, DA training and certification, and now the merging of Agile Alliance with PMI.

What do you think this will mean for the Agile Alliance and for PMI?

Mike, I am neutral when it comes to this acquisition. I guess we shall wait and see what value it will add to the community!

I’m excited to see how this merger will shape the future of project management, and I look forward to exploring the potential benefits it will bring to both the Agile and PMI communities.

The result will not be good. The bureaucratic behemoth of PMI will only destroy the value of Agile.

Yes, I'm also very excited to see where this leads, hoping for the best outcome and how we can continue the journey of becoming more effective and efficient in driving our initiatives.

Performance and resource-tailored PM that is suited to using the best available tools and methods has been in practice for many years. It is encouraging to see professional organizations acknowledging commonly employed norms that are often used. Promoting standardization and best practices across multiple opportunities is always welcome.
