Any and all Agile tools, techniques, frameworks or methodologies should comply with the Agile Manifesto Values (there are 4) and Principles (there are 12).
That should be the starting point.
After that, depending on the industry you're working on, you may turn to specific Agile frameworks.
There's also the Agile CoP website from PMI which is a great source of info: http://agile.vc.pmi.org/

I have the opportunity to be part of the USA DoD Agile Forum in 1990. In that forum the definition of agile was created. Agile is a way to think and behave with focus in constant value delivery to customers and quality. When organizations use agile concept from strategy formulation to strategy implementation they gain agility which is the ability to react to environmental changes and create environmental changes. You can create implementations or agile as some people did with the agile software development movement (the famous agile manifesto for software development. I have the opportunity to be part fo the DSDM version 1 and 2 creation). BUT take into account that agile IS NOT a method or methodology, IS NOT software or IT related only. In fact the software development methods (SCRUM, DSDM, etc) have chaged to agile solution delivery method. You can see a lot of grate webinars here demonstrating how agile could be applied to construction for example. Saving Changes...

@Mazen: agile software development (now it became to agile solution delivery, that means, beyond software) is an implementation of agile concept into software field. You can search and read the Rick Dove´s book "Response Ability" to see agile beyond IT or software. And you can find inside PMI´s Agile CoP a lot of examples where agile is applied to create non-software, non-IT only solution. I am working on this types of things from the very begining of agile. Suhail, what are you doing recommending the so-called Scrum Body of Knowledge (SBOK) by Scrumstudy? Those people are shysters, and the SBOK they produce is complete nonsense, a sad but serious distortion of Scrum, decried high and low by everybody connected with Scrum, including Scrum's creators. Scrumstudy has no credibility whatsoever in the Scrum world. Saving Changes...
