Can you share an example of a prompt chain that helps in creating a detailed project report?

Sure. You have to create your prompts with that frameworks and after that create frameworks to validate accuracy and trust between other things.https://www.linkedin.com/pulse/advanced-pr...ad-jazim-xfrkc/

Hi Muhammad Afzal
Refining Prompts for PMI infinity :
Use clear, specific language. Test and adjust prompts based on responses. Provide relevant background information. Use bullet points or lists for organization. Incorporate AI responses to refine future prompts. Keep prompts simple and focused on one idea.

For example, the Prompt Chain for the Project Report:
Scope: Outline objectives and deliverables for 'your Project'.
Stakeholders: List primary stakeholders and their roles.
Timeline: Create a timeline with significant milestones.
Risks: Identify risks and suggest mitigation strategies.
Budget: Provide a budget estimate with cost categories.
Report: Compile information into a structured project report.

Take Training from PMI: Enroll in PMI training programs to enhance your skills in using AI tools effectively.

Best,
Golam

Personally, I don't use GenAI to create project reports. I use it to get a headstart on requirements, risks, use cases, user stories, etc. because the departments I need this information from are often understaffed and overworked. The information still has to be vetted - some things removed, some things added, because GenAI tools don't know everything about our business, but it usually speeds up the process.

If you have a project management tool that contains your data and a template for the report, do you need GenAI to create the report? Is it less work?

I'm not trying to discourage exploring possibilities or critical thinking; I enjoy learning new things that have practical application. Is this something you need GenAI to do, or are you just exploring what's possible?

Prompting is the method of interacting with AI models by providing a structured or unstructured input (a "prompt") that directs the AI to perform a specific task.
Prompts can be- Questions , Instructions, Contextual Inputs
Let say you are going to manage a large-scale cloud transformation IT project and you need to create risk management plan. Then the below prompt can be helpful as input to PMI Infinity:
"I am a project manager leading a cloud transformation IT Project. What should I focus on during the initial risk assessment, given the complexities of integrating new technologies and transitioning from legacy systems to Cloud? After completing the risk assessment, what specific strategies can I implement to mitigate the risks associated with technology challenges and upskilling for Agile team during the cloud transformation?"

Hi all,
I would recommend to do the AI trainings available in the e-learning section for PMI members.
There is one focused on using/creating prompts framework.
These PMI AI trainings are really good. However, I am disappointed that the instructors under use the AI Infinity in the trainings.
They focus over 95% of the time demonstrating AI tools which require subscriptions (paid resources) to enable you to perform the exercises that they demonstrate during training.
It is about 10 USD monthly, you may need at least 3,-5 tools like that as of today.
Hopefully, these AI resources will evolve even more to allow us to access them if they are integrated to existing systems we have in our organizations.
I hope also the AI Infinity will keep improving.
I will try to avoid or reduce any have personal costs on it.
Lets see how things will evolve. I keep exploring these AI tools, very interesting era...
Kind regards,
Fabio
