Well in my opinion it depends on which person's AGI you are talking about. If you are talking about someone with no emotional intelligence, who is non knowleadgeable like a pieace of wood, certainly AI can reach their AGI, and be even better than these people. But when we are talking of people with very high emotional intelligence, inventors, creators, professionals who are at the top of the pyramid in their field of specialisation, then I do not think that AI will reach these people AGI, because these people have too high EQ that machines cannot be endowed with. Certainly AI can help the latter in their work, this include specialised tradies, but cannot replace them, have the same communication skills based on these people's EQ and heuristics gained through years of problem-solving in Real life scenarios, taking in account everything that leads up to their decisions. First of all, from time ago the science like neuroscience have demonstrate that things like IQ or different type of intelligence are obsolete and incorrect. But returning to your point, thanks to the new model of generative AI, Responsible AI is a new topic to take into account. AI, from long time ago, can simulate and can take human being behavior just from voice or face. The key point here is to remember "human in the loop".
