I just finished reading the book Home Truths (https://www.amazon.ca/Home-Truths-Fixing-C...df_0774890703/) which is focused on the Canadian housing market, but there are some good lessons which are learned and applicable to all countries which struggle with this.

Golam, great feedback, and these might help but they could also add significant cost to the projects making them unaffordable. The affordable housing sector is a very tricky one where you have to maintain certain pricing per unit while maintaining other requirements like sustainability and quality!

Affordable housing faces numerous challenges globally, including high land costs, regulatory hurdles, and financial constraints for low-income families. Urbanization exacerbates the issue, as demand for housing in cities outpaces supply, driving up prices. Additionally, affordable housing projects are often located on city outskirts, where infrastructure like transport and utilities is underdeveloped, making them less accessible. Developers also face low profit margins, limiting private sector participation. Addressing these challenges requires innovative solutions like public-private partnerships, technological advancements in construction, and government incentives to make housing more accessible and sustainable for underserved communities.
