I'd like to see it too.

Having in lived in Germany, I can share that Germans are extremely proficient in time management. If you're not early, you're late in that culture.

It also helps that Germans have 6 weeks of vacation annually plus up to 6 weeks of sick time. Also, many businesses shut down during the month of December, another way they ensure work/life balance.

I also lived in Germany and second what Michelle noted (didn't know you lived there, Michelle!). Germans are very hardworking during work hours, but when the day is over, they leave and go home. In my experience, they don't take work home with them. Home is for family time.

Hi Kristin, what a coincidence! I had a great time, my only objection - the weather.

Germans also do a good job of making any excuse to have a festival. Other than the famous OktoberFest, there are spring fests, people fests and regional festivals.

Great article. I've never been to Germany, but this strikes me as true. I've studied German, and can say that what I've learned of German communication is that it is direct.
