Risk avoidance. What are appropriate techniques to accomplish this risk handling strategy?

Risk avoidance is one of the four risk handling strategies defined in the PMI Risk Management Standard. It doesn't mean you withdraw from the risk, it means you immediately address the risk to eliminate it from affecting your project. Can you provide examples of how you implement this strategy?

Your description is emphasizing on "Risk Mitigation" strategy.

" Risk Avoidance " is to eliminate the risk on a project BEFORE it happens.

This is the best Risk handling strategy if it could be implemented and its straight forward once the risks are identified and analysed.

An example for Risk Avoidance strategy is :

Adding or removing person , people to an Activity Or work package.
