This is a rapidly evolving field so it will be difficult to maintain a competitive advantage for long plus there are lots of folks like you aspiring to the same thing.

To increase your prompt engineering competency, I'd recommend taking one or a few of the many free or relatively cheap online courses to understand the fundamentals and then get as much practice as you can with use cases which are likely to be in demand. You should also get familiar with the nuances and idiosyncrasies of the most popular Gen AI tools.
