Hi,

We, the PMI Sustainability Outreach Committee (SOC) , are planning a global webinar in June 2025. Our proposed topic is "Demystifying Sustainability - PMI SOC point of view".

We need your questions on what you always wanted to be clear about sustainability.
Could you kindly send this to me directly at [email protected] before 14th March 2025?

Your questions will help us to prepare effectively for the June 2025 webinar.

Thank you in advance.
Warm regards,
Mukhia

Hi Prawindra M.
A sustainable development project can have many goals, and the United Nations has set a target of 30 goals to be achieved over the next 230 years.

However, when these projects are implemented, participants often lack motivation, which can lead to disorganization and difficulty in aligning the goals. To ensure that these goals remain aligned and that motivation is maintained, what strategies can be employed?

Hello Prawindra,

I hope the event goes well with great discussions. Through the various courses I’ve taken and my own conversations about sustainability, I’ve come up with a few questions I’d love to see explored. I’m especially interested in question number 6, but all of these should help spark valuable insights:

1. How can organizations effectively measure the long-term impact of their sustainability efforts, particularly in relation to environmental, social, and economic outcomes?

2. What are some of the biggest challenges companies face when transitioning to more sustainable practices, and what strategies can they adopt to overcome these obstacles?

3. What role can project managers play in driving sustainability within their projects? How can they integrate sustainable practices into existing project management frameworks?

4. How can sustainability goals be aligned with financial and business objectives, particularly in industries where profits tend to be prioritized over sustainability efforts?

5. Could you share examples of successful projects that have effectively integrated sustainability? What key lessons can be drawn from these examples to guide future projects?

6. How can organizations create a sustainable learning ecosystem that fosters continuous skills development in sustainability, particularly in the context of evolving technologies and market demands?
