There's a financial services company in Chicago that I work with. Because of non-disclosure agreements I can't go into details on who they are or exactly what they've done, but here's a summary that might help:
* Their PMO group truly seeks to serve the organization. They are not a kingdom in their mind... They are there to serve.
* They provide some of the most comprehensive templates and processes that I've seen. The templates can be scaled up or down depending on the project size and complexity.
* They provide helpful training so project managers know not only how to use the templates but also the why.
* They listen to the feedback from their constituents and update the processes and templates accordingly.
It's the best I've seen and they're reaping the benefits of it. It's a pleasure to work with them! Saving Changes...
