I work in an energy generating company. We have different departments implementing different types of projects. Again, there is a PMO performing the Supporting role. we want to come up with a solution to develop an overall governing structure. What are your views?

It's crucial to establish clear roles, responsibilities, and communication channels between departments and the PMO. The PMO should serve as a strategic hub, ensuring alignment with organizational goals, resource optimization, and consistent project execution across different teams. A framework that defines project prioritization, risk management, performance monitoring, and decision-making authority will ensure coherence and accountability. Additionally, fostering collaboration, providing transparent reporting systems, and regular feedback loops will help in adapting to challenges and ensuring seamless project delivery across the company.
