What are the effects of Group Think in Tech research?

For a nation to be a leader in one or several techs, they should avoid Group Think by having a percentage of their teams who have not had similar life experiences, similar education and yes men even if the team is made up mostly of the same nationality.

A strong motivating goal should be shared by team members, which may not be monetary, fame or other advantages. And, accidents and the unexpected can lead to breakthroughs.

According to my own experience, Group Think do happen in Tech research particularly when the team members are not committed to the same goal of the project. For example, they are employees who are in the team due to being employees of the research entity. So the composition of the team should ensure only totally, committed individuals who have the same motivation for the research project are chosen for a project particularly, in Tech research. Otherwise, all types of issues may arise, including due to Group Think
