San Cristóbal, Carral, Díaz, Fraguela, & Iglesias (2018) published an article titled "Complexity and Project Management: A General Overview." As projects have become increasingly complex, there has been a growing concern about the concept of project complexity. An understanding of project complexity and how it can be effectively managed is crucial for project managers, as it influences the decision-making and goal-attainment processes associated with complexity.
The new complex and dynamic environments require project managers to rethink the traditional definition of a project and the ways to manage it. Project managers must be able to make decisions in these dynamic yet unstable systems, which are continuously changing and evolving unpredictably and are challenging to predict, unlike the linear, predictable systems traditionally studied (San Cristóbal, Carral, Díaz, Fraguela, & Iglesias, 2018).
What new integrated approaches for managing projects in complex environments, as well as new methods of planning, scheduling, executing, and controlling projects, has your organization implemented?

Project Management knowledge is created mainly to handle complexity, through the control of areas like time, scope, quality, risk, and others.
The new approach of Principles of Project Management also incorporates "Navigate complexity" in the group of 12 principles to take into account.
Also, the project performance domains consider complexity, mainly with the Development Approach and Life cycle, Planning, and Uncertaintity domains. Saving Changes...
