How to handle project once Business and Politics make deviate the project
I today again face the situation that customer want to hurry up the delivery by disregarding some critical milestones such as Factory acceptance test
Customer is lead by the need to produce urgently and for us it is dangerous to deliver a machine without being sure of all its functionality
That will re-scope the project

How to understand customer strategy to organise ours by tacling all risks and deliver the project  as per new scope ?

It’s essential to re-assess and re-align. First, engage in open dialogue with the customer to understand the true drivers behind their urgency. This insight helps you map your strategy around their priorities. Then, conduct a structured risk analysis based on the new scope, highlighting the technical, financial, and reputational risks of skipping steps like FAT. Propose a compromise: for example, a partial FAT, limited-scope testing, or phased commissioning. Document all changes and get formal acceptance of the new risks by the customer. This ensures transparency, protects your team, and aligns expectations while still aiming for a safe and functional delivery.
