Hi,

Could someone give me an example of quality requirements and project requirements as stated in PMBOK 5 (from a software project perspective)?

Thanks in advance.

Guilherme,

When you think of the quality requirements vs. the project requirements from a software project perspective the quality requirements address the quality metrics established for the software deliverable. This involves the business requirements or specifications for the software application that is being implemented. For example the processing speed requirements for the software application or successful verification of the specified expected results. The project requirements addresses the overall project standards which may involve for instance a project maturity level from a process improvement standard such as having documented repeatable processes or lessons learned or meeting project milestones or status reporting requirements for example.

In other words the quality requirements addresses the actual software product and the project requirements addresses the actual project standards.

Quality requirement: the software should be free of failure in 7x24 mode (seven days a week, 24 hours).
Project requirement: activities and resources needed to achieve the quality requirement
